Privacy, in plain English
ScanDex helps you price, grade and organise trading cards. Here is what we keep and why. We don't sell your data.
What we store
- Your account: email and password (handled by our sign-in provider; we never see your password). If you use ScanDex as a guest, we create an anonymous account so your cards are saved, with no email at all.
- Your collection: the cards you add, what you paid, their sleeves in your binder, your watchlist and Deal Hunter rules, and your trades if you use trading.
- Photos you send for scanning or pre-grading, used to identify and screen the card. Corrections you make (for example to the centering lines) may be kept to improve accuracy.
- Basic technical logs (errors, request times) to keep the service working.
Who helps us run ScanDex
- Supabase stores accounts and data.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Anthropic processes card photos you scan, to read the card's name and number.
- eBay provides listing and sale data; when you tap "Buy on eBay" you go to eBay and their privacy policy applies.
- Stripe handles payment for Premium; we never see your card number.
- Resend sends Deal Hunter emails, if you turn them on.
Your choices
- Your collection is private by default. You choose what, if anything, to share.
- You can turn alert emails off per hunt, and set quiet hours.
- You can delete cards at any time, and ask us to delete your account and everything in it.
- Sounds are off until you turn them on, and nothing is tracked by them.
Children
ScanDex is for people 13 and over. Parents can use it to price a family collection.
